Character Modeler

Character Modeling is a profession sought by many, though few are really good. As a character modeler your main responsibility will be creating game characters by translating them from 2D concepts to 3D models.

If you feel you are one of the few, then we would love to have you on board. Training will be provided for trainees that meet the minimum requirement.

The Ideal Candidate should posses the following qualities:

  • Experience as a modeler using 3D Studio Max.
  • Demonstrate the ability to model realistic and believable characters, both in high poly and low poly versions.
  • Ability to model characters for deformation with a good understanding of edge loops.
  • Extensive knowledge of 3D characters production within a games pipeline.
  • Possess thorough understanding of texturing and UVing characters.
  • Possess rigging experience for characters (knowledge how bones, physique, segmented models work) to ensure realistic character deformation.
  • Plus: Excellent knowledge of human/animal anatomy.

To apply you must meet these minimum requirement(s). We will provide the required training for you to become the Ideal Candidate.

  • Modeling using Primitives.
  • Understand most of the deformable modifiers ie; bend, twist, FFD etc.
  • Understand UV mapping.
  • Passion for character creation.
